Maryland is known for blue crabs, Ravens football, and, of course, its iconic flag. However, Maryland also has a growing reputation for its robust manufacturing industry. The small state has over 4,140 manufacturing firms and the industry employs more than 100,000 people as of 2020. Maryland's growing manufacturing industry is a result of favorable industry legislation, an educated workforce, and supportive programs, like the Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MDMEP).

The MDMEP is a nonprofit funded by the industry and the State of Maryland. Its mission is to grow and support the states' manufacturing industry by focusing on the needs of small and mid-size firms. Their services focus on education, support programs, and other resources around efficiency, growth, profitability, new technologies, and creating more jobs and opportunities in Maryland.

Unleashed, Think, and the MDMEP are teaming up to host an educational panel on Thursday, September 16  to assist manufacturers in understanding web technologies and determining what technologies would best help their business grow.

Ahead of the panel, Unleashed President Michael Spinosa sat down with Michael Kelleher, Executive Director of the MDMEP, to explore the unique needs of the state's manufacturers and challenges they face as they travel their own unique digital journey.

To learn more about these challenges, hear from leading manufacturers, register for Thursday’s panel, “Determining the Right Web Presence for Manufacturers,” today!
