Formerly a biochemistry professor, Michael began his career as a web developer in 2008. Having worked in a variety of capacities, Michael has developed skills across the LAMP stack, but tends to focus on back-end PHP and MySQL. Introduced to Drupal at an early point, he has attended two DrupalCon events and has long been active since in his local development community. Michael also has experience with other open source frameworks including Symfony and Laravel. He has certifications from Acquia as a Drupal 8 developer, the Zend Foundation as a PHP engineer, and two AWS certifications. With broad ranging interests, he is always looking to learn something more about web development, and when not engaged in a web project you can find Michael reading and drinking coffee.
