Drupal Con is the largest gathering for Drupal developers, members, and users each year. Traditionally, the conference is broken up into two, holding one conference in North America and the other in Europe. In previous years, DrupalCon took place as a physical conference center and lasted over a 3-5 day period. As COVID-19 impacted life in extraordinary ways, the Drupal Association has decided to hold one conference virtually in 2020, fittingly titled DrupalCon Global.
Jenna has an ideal background for a DrupalCon presenter. With the Front-End Specialist and Drupal Site Builder certifications from Acquia, she is a strong contributing member to the Drupal community. While developing more than 12 Drupal 8 websites alone and working on countless other Drupal sites, Jenna has grown her skill to be one of the best. Along with attending multiple Drupal events, Jenna also presented at the 2019 Baltimore DrupalCamp.
Jenna’s session, The Visual Editing Experience: Gutenberg Editor VS. Layout Builder, will cover how the content editor experience is a vastly important piece of any website. Within Drupal, there are several tools out there designed to lend a helping hand to editors; however, it can be challenging to determine which tool is right for your website. With the introduction of the Gutenberg Editor and Layout Builder, content editors now have a visual editing tool that can drastically change their experience and the way you build websites. In this session, Jenna will teach you how to implement Layout Builder and the Gutenberg Editor, the pros and cons of each tool, and how to build an overall exceptional content editing experience.
The session is designed for site builders, frontend developers, and content managers. While not required, it is recommended attendees have familiarity with Drupal's current content management experience in Drupal 8.
Add this session to your calendar and take advantage of the opportunity to learn about these mainstream development options explained in a relatable, understandable, and usable way from an expert in the Drupal community.
