The Greenbrier Resort is an award-winning luxury resort, golf course and spa with an illustrious history in White Sulphur Spring, West Virginia. With over 200 years of exceptional service and beautiful venues, The Greenbrier has established itself as a world-renowned tourist destination. The Greenbrier Resort has also played a valuable part in the history of golf and now hosts the Greenbrier Classic, which joined the PGA Tour in 2010.

Challenge: 

The Greenbrier Resort came to Unleashed Technologies to assist with their retail division. By using a Yahoo! eCommerce solution, the resort was not experiencing high traffic volume to the store. They were having difficulty updating their comprehensive catalog of products and were unable to manage inventory properly. The Resort needed an eCommerce system that was on brand while also showcasing the wide-variety of products that they offer.

Solution: 

Utilizing the powerful eCommerce platform of Magento, the Unleashed team was able to create a storefront that accurately reflected The Greenbrier’s well-established brand and provided the Greenbrier team with a system that is manageable and scaleable. Products are better organized and easier for customers to find with a new navigation structure and advanced search functionality. The checkout process has been streamlined to improve the customer’s shopping experience and increase conversions.

    Product information, imagery, organization, and inventory can be managed by the store administrator effortlessly and efficiently.

    Customers can utilize the one-page checkout for quick purchasing or have the ability to checkout with multiple shipping addresses. Gift cards and discount codes can be entered during the checkout process which is convenient for customers.
  • Featured Products and Promotions
    The new system works well with Greenbrier’s internal marketing efforts. During particular seasons, certain products can be featured in the store and top-selling products are continuously promoted to the browsing shopper. The home page slider and call-out sections can be easily updated to include new products or seasonal items. The Greenbrier team also has the ability to provide discounts and free shipping incentives to give customers more reasons to shop.

The result was a well-developed, beautifully designed Magento deployment that meets the retail needs of The Greenbrier Resort. The new system has dramatically reduced the time and cost spent updating the catalog of products, managing store inventory and processing transactions.
