Proactive Dealer Solutions (PDS) was a long standing sales consulting firm for the automotive industry. They needed a way to help create accountability, performance, and metrics for individual dealerships utilizing their services to manage business development centers (BDC). PDS wanted to ensure that the software could be used by all sales professionals working at the dealerships to help schedule appointments and report the status of leads without refreshing pages or encumbering them with another process. The software would need to offer complex role and tiered based rights, advanced statistical processing/reporting for BDC managers, and fast entry for the sales force.
The solution needed to rest on a core platform and deploy many dealerships that would have anywhere from ten to twenty users at all times entering data into the system with an estimated load of thirty to forty dealerships for initial roll-out. The platform had to be scalable enough to handle the load of additional dealerships being added as the software offering continued to grow.
Unleashed Technologies selected the Microsoft platform utilizing a unique architecture that put the core of the processing work on the underlying database technology. By taking the computational stress out of the application itself and passing information back and forth from the database to the web interface, users of the system could experience a smooth and fast working application that allowed them to input important details of their call logs and schedule appointments quickly and effectively. The amount of records inserted per dealership were thousands per day while managers would pull reports on different campaigns up to two years back.
Unleashed Technologies, LLC would utilize its skill set in user experience and intuitive interface to bring an easy to use application that required minimal training for users of the system. In order to stop the reloading of pages an AJAX interface was proposed to ensure that no sales representative had to wait for a web page to reload.
By managing every aspect of the hosting, maintenance, and upgrades, Unleashed Technologies would be able to ensure a 99.5% availability of the application. New enhancements would be implemented on a monthly basis so that PDS could become industry leaders in BDC software.
Unleashed Technologies, LLC was able to roll-out an application that continues to grow and thrive as a staple of the Proactive Dealer Solutions consulting business. Since its inception the BDC Tracker has been upgraded on a monthly basis continually rolling out new features and improvements based on customer feedback. Goals accomplished included a high transaction, scalable, and flexible framework in conjunction with a “no loading” web based user interface.
