Moving into the Enterprise – Day Two of DrupalCon

During day two of DrupalCon, I attended several sessions that discussed how Drupal is being leveraged by larger organizations and the challenges that the Drupal community at large faces in enterprise-level adoption. One session in particular, “Competing with Giants: How to Win with Drupal vs. Proprietary Alternatives” by Bryan House, discussed the benefits Drupal delivers to the business/marketing and IT stakeholders of a large organization.

Unlike many other sectors of technology the web continues to be evolving so fast that all solutions are not created equal with small differences to focus on particular functionality or business verticals.

One of the must-haves of any small business, be it a start-up or a long-established entity, is an insightful website that allows people to find out more and inquire about your company. It gives your company credibility in an ever-increasing technology driven world. However, gaining that credibility through a website is much more than just putting up a couple pages and a form; the key is to get qualified visitors that want to learn more about your product or service.
