During our last team meeting one of our developers ran into this simple checklist for companies and web firms rolling out new projects. The tool is simply designed to provide you with a comprehensive check list of items that any small business needs before launching their new web presence. It's probably pretty good for those that may have a smaller experience set on the web and want to check on the website they've recently had developed or developed themselves.

The beauty is the sheer simplicity of it. It doesn't do anything fancy like automatically detect broken links or do a scan of your website to critique relevance of meta tags or alternate text on images. It's a giant list of items that must be completed for a website to roll out fundamentally correct. You may have this emailed to yourself or directly to your client upon completion and allows you to add custom fields yourself in addition to what's always available. I know for us we're adding W3C compliance as it's a major component in the websites we roll out. Whether the tool holds merit for enterprise deployments is yet to be seen as there would such variances between custom checklists I think it would render the simple checklist concept slightly ineffective... but that's just me talking out loud.
