5 CSS Tricks You May Not Know

1. Minimum Width for a Page (Using Expressions)

A very handy CSS command that exists is the min-width command, whereby you can specify a minimum width for any element. This can be particularly useful for specifying a minimum width for a page.

Unfortunately, IE doesn't understand this command, so we'll need to come up with a new way of making this functionality work in this browser. First, we'll insert a DIV under the BODY tag, as we can't assign a minimum width to the BODY:

PHP Thumbnail Creation Tutorial

This tutorial will explain how to take any image and proportionally shrink it to any size you define.

The three main goals of this function are:

  1. Shrink an image to a defined size
  2. Keep the new image proportional to the old image
  3. Create the new image in the same directory as the old image with a defined prefix (i.e. 'tn_')

Google Chrome, HTML 5, and the Future of Web Applications

Google Chrome was officially revealed at a news conference on November 19, 2009. Unlike Windows and other modern operating systems, Chrome OS has only one application - the web browser. There is no word processor or email programs - all applications are web-based, running and saving your data in the "cloud".
